It has a metal drive connector on the jug end, but the motors one is plastic (presumably to keep noise down) and a point of failure. However, reviews state failure of the seal around the bottom. I went out of my way to find a Glass blender and found a Braun (states 'Made in Germany' on the box, but I think it's just final assembly there) - regular $180 blender Walmart - their top one. To be fair, a lot of other brands top blenders also fail prematurely and leak, chip, etc. they're in different realms I think in terms of appliances. Sounds like a wasteful company (and disposable/'planned obsolescence' product) to me. On-average most said the device lasted about a year, and that to replace the plastic container was nearly as much as a new blender if not more.
BLENDER WALMART CRACKED
Chipped or cracked and leaking plastic containers. "Blades are very sharp but dull too quickly". MANY of the negative review on the Ninja (try Cdn Tire, again.) - Many cut fingers on those awkward blades. While some seemed comparable, no way to tell which were paid adverts/endorsements for Ninja.
I looked at reviews online (amazon, CanTire, Youtube), etc. The reviews were enough to prevent me from using the Ninja and I'm glad I went with something that's going to last at least 7X as long - value for money, among ease of use and other things. Regular $150, I think I got it for $115 on Black Friday last year. No, the Professional 1000 - 1000Watts, I stated Canadian Tire above, and that's what I meant. I'm glad you like your Vitamin but not sure why you're so against a product that you never even ended up trying out. I'm just simply giving my personal (nearly entirely positive) feedback about this product. I personally don't have a Vitamin but I've heard amazing things about it.
BLENDER WALMART FULL
I really hope you're not referring to this one as it's more akin to a magic bullet than a full on blender so that comparison would not make any sense:Īnd not sure what you meant by "why cheap out for all the pain, electronic waste and inconvenience a 'Ninja' will cause". Had no idea what a "red ninja pro" was so I googled it.
Worth the price (4X this though - but why cheap out for all the pain, electronic waste and inconvenience a "Ninja" will cause. Solid, 7 year warranty they stand behind. They even sell a steel container now (though it's still to expensive). Worth it imho - no one stars for it, and never any reports of the thing leaking or plastic container breaking. Took it back just recently and ordered a Vitamin. I had a red ninja pro front CanTire with more power than this one I think.
